Today was all about blowing leaves! 🍂 I cleared leaves out of all the landscape beds and off the back porch, blowing everything out into the yard so the client can mulch them up. I also took care of some miscellaneous maintenance, including deadheading flowers and saving Coneflower seeds for future planting.

One of my favorite things about autumn is getting to do more planting and landscape transformations!

Today was another planting project! I removed 5 prostrate Junipers with some gnarly root systems and replaced them with Candy Corn Spirea, Tater Tot Arborvitae, Dianthus Everlast, and 3 different varieties of Blanket Flowers.

The combination of reds, yellows, oranges, and pinks brought me so much joy and I can’t wait for the tots to grow and for this bed to be full!

I’ll be back next week to mulch this bed and put the finishing touches on it. What a great day. ☺️

Big planting job this morning! 🌱

58 plants in the ground! Oakleaf Hydrangeas, Sweetspire, Astilbe, Hostas, Ferns, and Liriope!

Thank goodness for the beautiful morning weather and a nice shady spot to work in!
I’ll be back Thursday to finish these beds off with fresh mulch. One step closer to bringing this landscape together!

🍂 Happy October, neighbors! 🍂

My kids are on fall break from school, and even though I’m surrounded by nature and beautiful landscapes every day, I can never get enough of it! So this week, we’re enjoying some family time at Shenandoah National Park, soaking in the breathtaking views, getting a good workout in, and making some memories together.

I truly cherish this family time so much. Life gets busy, so I’m grateful for the chance to slow down, explore, and enjoy these moments with my kids.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week and enjoying the beautiful start to fall! I’ll be back to work Monday and look forward to seeing you all then!

This weekend I made the trip to Canton, GA, to do some yard work for a friend! 🌳🌿

I raised her front-yard Chinese Elm and cleaned it up on the inside to help keep it healthy, open, and growing strong. I also removed 5 shrubs — 4 from the front bed and 1 near the garage — to give the existing Boxwoods and Laurel more room to breathe and to open the beds up so everything isn’t so crowded.

Then I headed to the backyard and raised a couple more trees, including an Oak and a Maple, and cleared out some weeds while I was there.

A little road trip, a lot of work, and a job well done! Definitely worth the drive.

Raise, raise, raise! 🌲✂️

This client has a Freedom Traveler RV that they needed to be able to back into the driveway without damaging the trees or the trailer itself. So, I had to raise these Cypress trees on their side of the property to make sure they had plenty of clearance!

Then I had to fell two trees in the backyard and chuck them down the hill! 😂

I also knocked out a few other small things around the property while I was there.

Great job today! 🌿

Hedge trimmed 3 Yews, cut back 2 Hydrangeas, shaped a few other small shrubs, cleaned up a bunch of flower beds, removed suckers from a few trees, and tackled a gnarly vine that had taken over a fence line.
