There’s a warm, muted palette I find myself reaching for every October. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that it mirrors what’s happening outside our windows.🍁

Software is faster, but my hand still finds things my cursor doesn't — a proportion that feels off, a line that wants to curve, an intuitive feeling about what a space needs. Some part of design still needs to move through the body first. ✏️

As October settles in, I lean harder into grounding practices. Bare feet on the floor, a few minutes outside, nothing on my phone. Small rituals, real steadiness. 🍂

What does October ask of you? Usually, this month asks us to slow down before the holiday season speeds everything back up. Let's listen this time instead of powering through. 🕯️

We talk a lot about sanctuary spaces like bedrooms, reading nooks, quiet corners, and completely overlook the shower. It's one of the only moments in a day that's fully yours: water, warmth, a few minutes with no one asking anything of you. I think about that every time I design one: good light, the right materials underfoot, nothing that rushes you out. What's one small ritual in your home you didn't realize was sacred until you tried to skip it? 🚿🌿

As this month closes, I'm ending the way I try to end most things lately — with a breath, not a rush. Grateful for this season, and for everyone following along here. 🌿
