Believe me when I say, this is super easy!
And disclaimer, it’s the first time I’ve done it, so no judgment, thanks!
Really only need 4 ingredients. And some spare time.
And the results 〰️worth it🍎🍏
My sister Joan is a excellent cook and
baker. She told me how easy it was so I had to try it. She was right 🥰
-Take variety of apples and core them.
-Put them in a Dutch oven or large pot.
-I added about a cup of Mountain Dew. My sister uses cream soda or Sprite. (The sweetness of the soda with the apples, may be all the sweetness needed.) * or you can add a cup of water.
-cooking and soft and skin start to move on their own.
-let cool slightly put in colander and stir until skins are removed and sauce smooth.
-place back on the heat warm for a bit while adding pinch of salt, vanilla, brown sugar, and cinnamon to taste.
-I put mine in jars and we’ll store in the refrigerator.
Now, If you want yours to last longer, you have to research on how to do canning! That’s more than I wanted to learn in one night.😂
