How long does a kitchen remodel actually take? 🏡

For a full remodel, plan on 5 to 7 months from the first conversation to the final walkthrough. About half of that time happens before demo day, and that planning is what keeps construction on track.

Swipe through the five phases to see what each one involves and how long it takes. 👉

Thinking about a kitchen project in 2027? Now is the perfect time to start the design conversation. Planning something smaller? We still have a few openings left this year.

📌 Save this for when you’re ready to plan, and reach out through the link in bio. No start date or final design needed, just a conversation.

Designed for a family that gathers often, with a main floor that has a place for everyone.

The character comes from the details.

Here are nine from this Lakeville main floor remodel:
1. A stone fireplace up to the existing soffit, under 18-foot ceilings
2. White oak built-ins in a Sandalwood stain, with ch*****ne bronze hardware
3. A custom iron railing from a local ironworker
4. Tambour on the dining room walls, with sconces
5. A Tambour wall in the piano room
6. Tambour on the back of the island, with a Zellige tile backsplash
7. A custom arched hutch
8. A powder room gone dark, with wood-textured tile
9. A cabinet that hides the printer

Save this one for your own main floor, and see the full project at the link in the first comment below.

We’re not saying a new kitchen fixes everything. 👀

We’re just saying nobody has ever been sad about warm white oak cabinets and a custom hood. 🙌

Fun fact: that hood was finished by a local artisan in a custom color and texture, and it gives the whole room its character.

Behind every finished kitchen photo is a lot of nudging, fussing, and “wait, one more inch to the left.” 😄

Swipe through our latest photo shoot to see what goes into capturing a space the way it deserves:

🕯️ Finding the perfect placement
🍏 A little pop of green before the shutter clicks
📷 Getting every angle just right
👯 A crew that makes it fun

The details you live with every day, like the cabinetry, the lighting, and the way a room flows, deserve to be seen properly. That’s why we take the photos as seriously as the build.

The final reveal is coming soon.

What a whirlwind weekend at R20! Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase. We loved meeting you, hearing about your projects, and answering your questions.

A choppy layout and a few partial walls were boxing in this Lakeville, MN kitchen. Once they came down, it got the room it was always meant to have:

🤍 An island scaled for real life
🤍 A built-in beverage center made for hosting
🤍 Hickory floors running through the whole main level, so it all reads as one space

Missed us, or living with a layout that feels chopped up? Tell us what’s not working. Link in bio to get started.
