Bannon was my sweet 16 birthday surprise from my parents in 2010. I always imagined throwing her the biggest party for her 16th birthday—a full-circle moment we’d celebrate together.
Today was supposed to be that day… and she’s not here. 💔

She was by my side through every milestone and every little moment in between —from high school to undergrad to law school and into adulthood. Through joy, grief, and nights I wasn’t sure I’d make it until morning, she never left me. She was always right there. 🩷

I just wish I could thank her one last time for the purest form of friendship I’ve ever known. My heart hurts that we aren’t together today, that I rang in a new year without her, and that this milestone I dreamed about looks so different than I imagined. But I hope she’s eating pizza and celebrating with her doggie friends over the rainbow bridge. 🥹🩷✨🌈

my first year at when we were young fest was ✨everything✨

started out the day right with one of my all time favorites 😭🩷 then and which were both amazing! screamed my heart out to and the only time I teared up during the concert was during perfect 🥲 was such a vibe and was so impressive (and also has loudly supported Palestine for a long time which is important to me 🇵🇸) definitely one of my favorites of the day!! was the most surprising set of the day for me!! I love the offspring, but after that set- I LOVEEEEE THE OFFSPRING! Also- no kings 👏🏼 got to see and last but not least….. PANIC!!!!!!! I don’t really even have the words for it, but it was a dream.

It was a long day and my millennial body was so sore the next day, but 10000% worth it! Thanks to my emo bestie for sticking out two days in a row of concerts with me and for the ticket hookup! 🩷💀🖤

WARPED TOUR WRAPPED 🤘🏼

listening to some of your fave bands with 85,000 people is an unreal experience 🥹 of course all of the nostalgic punk/emo bands are great, but the people who bailed because they didn’t think the band lineup was good enough are missing the point of 👀 warped is for supporting and discovering the new gen of punk rock emo music too !!!! 🩷 the circle pits, crowd surfing, fashion and of course the music was ✨perfection✨ One of the best parts? How much more diversity this genre has since I last went to warped in 2012. There’s so much more POC, LGBTQ+, and female representation across the board and I’m so here for it!! 🙌🏼

but really, I’m fine in the grand scheme of things. I have an MRI early next week to determine whether there’s a rotator cuff injury as well, but I’m super lucky the fracture is non-displaced and no surgery is needed!

Projects are on pause, so now maybe I’ll actually edit down the content of projects that are finished and share them with y’all ???? Yes ???? 😆

It isn’t the biggest library but it’s mighty 🩷

it’s mainly organized by color, but I added a banned books shelf and my mini books needed their own lil section as well. My 2025 goal is to buy any banned book I see at a thrift store and I’ve accumulated a good number so far! And of course, some of my rocks and crystals needed some space here too. 🤩

Bannon girl was the best damn pawject manager / DIY BFF I could’ve ever asked for. 🥹 no matter the project, she was always a step or two away from me. when I set up for a project, I always laid down a blanket or sweatshirt for her to curl up on. If I forgot a tape measure in the garage? You bet she was getting up to follow me to get it every time. even though I’m usually working alone on projects, I was never alone with her. 😭🩷✨ she was by my side through an entire house renovation and a cross-country move! I wish I had her company for more projects in Vegas, but I’m so grateful for the time I had.

Cheers to 15 years of chaotic crafts, intense renovations, late-night DIYs and endless days of work with my best girl by my side. I can’t thank this sweet girl enough for the love, sass, and project supervision she gave me. 🐶👷🏻‍♀️

six years of making this Montana fixer upper a home
part 1 🥹

It’s easy to forget all of the hard work, frustration, tears, learning, mistakes and laughter that occurred between each transformation here… but that’s what it’s all about.

We love this home so much. The home we built together, the home where we got married, the home we watched Gunner and Bannon grow up and of course the home that brought us our kitties. I’ll forever be grateful for everything we learned in these walls and how much growth this massive project required from both Lane and I as a couple and as individuals over the last 6 years.

I can’t see us doing this serious of a renovation while living in it in the future, but I’m damn proud we did. Believe me- it’s not for the faint of heart. 😅I’ll share more of our Vegas home soon, but it is much more of a “builder-grade that needs updating” 🏠than “tear everything to the studs and start over” 🏠🙈🙌🏼
