Ragnar is definitely getting more comfortable with me and his new home. Feeding time has been so fun. The way he sprints off the branch makes me laugh every time 🤣

When people think bearded dragons are dumb 🥴

Meet King Ragnar the red monster bearded dragon 🥹👑

Day 1

He’s settling in amazingly well. He immediately started exploring, hunted his Dubia roaches like he owned the place, and completely ignored the bowl of arugula I left him. 🙄 The next day I tried tong feeding it to him and suddenly vegetables were acceptable. Apparently he just requires table service. 😂

And a very special shoutout to Samuel Sparkman. He found out how rough this year has been for me and told me to go get my dream pet, his habitat and everything he needed, on him. 😭😭😭 I still can’t believe someone would do something that generous for me.

With friends like this, who needs a man? 😂

Welcome home, King Ragnar. ❤️

I love visiting all the cute babies at the reptile shop 🤩 Makes me happy every time.

The leopard geckos napping together? 😭 The closed eyelids are so stinkin cute.

He’s lucky I love him so much 🤣 No more dairy cow isopods for now. He loves them too much.

Might switch to powder blues since they’re smaller and faster. Hoping they stay alive 🤣

I have more time for friends now 😂

Still working through the last of my inventory, but I can already feel the difference. I finally have the bandwidth to slow down and actually appreciate my plants again instead of rushing past them all day. 🥹

Turns out burnout can make you forget why you loved something in the first place.

I am just not an anthurium girly but this one was a keeper 🤩🤩🤩 Anthurium vittarifolium variegated got to stay in my collection.

Some of my happiest moments were delivering plants to customers and seeing how excited they were to bring them home. Watching someone light up over a new leaf, a rare find or their very first “wishlist” plant genuinely brought me so much joy.

But over time, I realized I was stuck in the same cycle I know a lot of us fall into.

More plants.
More pressure.
More consumption.
More burnout.

Every week there was another “must have” plant trending online.

Another mutation.
Another variegation.
Another reason to feel like you needed to keep up to be considered a “real” collector.

And somewhere along the way, I stopped enjoying the plants I already had.

Living with chronic illness means my energy is limited. Trying to run a live plant business while keeping up with constant care, rehabs, pests, imports, shipping, customer service, social media, and everything else became more than my body could realistically sustain.

This decision has been incredibly emotional because I truly love this community.

But I also know I’m not the only person who has felt overwhelmed by this hobby.

So this is your reminder too:

You do not need every trending plant.

You do not need to spend hundreds of dollars to belong here.

You are allowed to slow down.

Your current plants are enough.

Spend time enjoying the plants you already have. Actually enjoy them.

Prop & Thrive is evolving, not disappearing. 🌿

I’ll still be creating — just in a way that gives me more room for creativity, storytelling, and sustainability long term.

More merch.
More design.

Thank you to everyone who supported my little business, trusted me with your plants, shared your excitement with me, and made this journey so meaningful. It truly meant more than you know.

Love,
Tee
