🏠 𝗪𝗵𝗼'𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲?
Today I was called out to correct work left behind by another company. The homeowner believed he hired that company's crew, but behind the scenes the job was handed off to a subcontractor. His words to me:
"Courtney, I'll never recommend them, and I'll never use them again."
This isn't about bashing anyone. There are many business models out there, but as a consumer, it pays to know which one you're paying for. 👇
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹
❌ Jobs are sold, then often passed to subcontractors
❌ The company may not truly know who's walking into your home
❌ More crews means more issues than any office can keep up with
❌ When problems pile up, quality and reputation suffer
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹
✅ The person you hire is the person who does the work
✅ Every floor carries the owner's name and reputation
✅ Fewer jobs at once means full attention on yours
✅ Real craftsmanship, not a rotating crew
At Truman Hardwood Floor Services, 𝗜 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 on purpose. I'm the owner, and I do my own work. Old school craftsmanship is getting harder to find, and my clients tell me it's a breath of fresh air. 🪵
🔍 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲, 𝗮𝘀𝗸:
👉 Who exactly will be working in my home?
👉 Are they employees or subcontractors?
👉 Will the owner ever be on site?
Big companies care. But at a certain size, they simply can't care as much. With an owner operator, 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 💯
