Hundreds of clothing items, a full day of decluttering, and… of course I forgot to take the before pictures. 😂🤦‍♂️ I remembered about halfway through and took some quick photos of the piles we already started to create. I’m working on that, I promise!

This office needed some breathing room so we spent the day making decisions about what to keep, what to let go of, and what to save for later. With two little ones at home, we sorted future clothes into totes according to size so everything is easy to find when the time comes.

The goal? Get this office functional again before family comes to town and a big surgery ahead for her husband. ❤️

And just a reminder: decluttering and organizing aren’t always the same thing! This project was all about decluttering, making decisions, and getting the space usable again. No fancy bins or full makeover.

🔨 A little behind the scenes from a recent organizing project!

One thing I really enjoy (and that we include in our organizing services) is furniture and equipment assembly.

For this project I:
• Built 2 desks
• Assembled a weight rack
• Added doors to an IKEA shelving unit
• Helped get everything set up and ready to use

I genuinely enjoy building things, figuring out how everything goes together, and seeing a space come together from start to finish. It’s something I’m good at and I love being able to offer it as part of the organizing process.

We started Simply Sorted with one big goal in mind: creating more time for the things that matter most.

For us, that’s raising our boys, being present as a family, and making more room for God in our everyday lives.

When my husband and I started dreaming about what kind of business could give us that freedom, we landed on home organization. Not because it’s a “get rich quick” business (trust me… it’s not 😂), but because it’s something we genuinely love.

My husband has always had a gift for creating organized, functional spaces. And as a stay-at-home mom, I’ve experienced firsthand how much a well-functioning home can change your day. It doesn’t make life perfect, but it makes the daily chaos feel a whole lot more manageable.

As parents of two little boys, we know how quickly toys pile up, laundry multiplies, and life gets messy. That’s why we’re passionate about creating organizing systems that work for real life—not just picture-perfect homes.
