We are open at 9 West Market St!

We moved everything in 2.5 days and we were able to open on 9/24 at 1pm. Thanks to our incredible volunteers from our amazing community. We couldn’t have done this incredible feat without you!
As we settle in to this big cozy space, you might see some changes every now and then (new bookcases coming soonish!). But we are so happy with all the work that has gone into it. We have so much room for activities!
Come check us out soon! We are now wheelchair and stroller accessible and have the same proximity to the town parking garage as before.
Our grand opening is scheduled for October 30th with the ribbon cutting at 5pm.
We are open every day!

We have so much more room for activities in our new space! Sign up via the link in our bio on Humanitix.

DC Plant Week is a celebration of our plant community in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.
We are excited to join for the third year in a row and honored to be included, as we are the furthest shop from DC.
Plan a day in historic downtown Leesburg and visit our unique little bookstore plant shop. I assure you, we’re worth the trip. 🪴

Join us May 26th for our quarterly Read! Plant! Grow! book club at at 6:30pm. This book club is a collaboration with , , and where we discuss environmental issues and science.
Crossings, by Ben Goldfarb, investigates the profound impact of roads on the environment, wildlife, and ecosystems, exploring both the destruction and innovative solutions for mitigation. The book examines how roads fragment habitats, cause animal mortality (roadkill), disrupt migration, and alter ecosystems, while also highlighting the work of road ecologists building wildlife crossings (overpasses and underpasses) and other solutions to create a more sustainable future. Pick up your copy at Birch Tree or the library soon! .a.goldfarb
