Before & After: Bye-bye, headbanger cabinet! 🤕👋
This kitchen peninsula area was causing a major headache—literally! The clients had a family member who kept bumping their head on the floating upper cabinet. Not only was it a safety hazard, but that upper cabinet and the old bar-height counter also made the kitchen feel small, cramped, and completely cut off from the dining room.
We stepped in to open things up and make this space highly functional:
• Removed the floating upper cabinet to instantly clear the line of sight.
• Lowered the knee wall to bring it perfectly flush with the base cabinets.
• Installed continuous quartz countertops by Action Countertops Inc, creating a massive, uninterrupted workspace.
• Wrapped the knee wall in rift-sawn white oak decorative panels to flawlessly match the existing cabinetry.
Now, the kitchen feels twice as big, flooded with natural light from the dining room windows and patio door! ✨
We did a lot more work in the rest of this gorgeous kitchen, so keep your eyes peeled—more updates from this transformation are coming soon! 🛠️📐
