✨ Your home doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s. In fact, I think that’s the whole point! ✨

Two different homes. Two completely different personalities. And that’s what I love about design! 🧡💚

Give me bold wallpaper, unexpected colors, funky artwork, vintage treasures, and pieces that tell a story!

One home might call for playful patterns and rich green bookcases, while another leans into modern lines, statement artwork, and carefully curated accessories.

My job isn’t to give every client the same look. It’s to help create spaces that reflect THEIR personality, not mine.

And the best part? Some of these spaces are still works in progress! A few finishing touches are on their way, but I couldn’t resist sharing.

Because a beautifully designed home shouldn’t look like everyone else’s. It should look like YOU.

✨ Beautiful spaces don’t happen by accident. ✨

They begin with a vision, thoughtful design, and the right people to bring it all together.

And this whole-home transformation is a beautiful example of just that! 🏡

At Mood Design Studio, I believe your home should be a reflection of YOU. Your personality, your lifestyle, and the things you love—with a little unexpected creativity along the way!

From a single-room refresh to an entire home transformation, I love taking a client’s ideas and turning them into something they may never have imagined possible.

A little coastal calm, with a whole lot of MOOD! 🌿🤍

We wrapped up Joan’s bedroom transformation this summer, and I finally have the professional photos to share!

The goal? Create a bedroom that feels peaceful, inviting, and effortlessly beautiful without falling into the typical coastal design.

And we didn’t just change a few pillows! 😉

✨ Beautiful new wood flooring

🌿 Soft, soothing green walls

🤍 A gorgeous shiplap ceiling

✨ A new sliding barn door

🤍 Floor-to-ceiling drapery

🛏️ New bedding, layered textures, and cozy accents

✨ New lighting, artwork, furniture, and thoughtful styling throughout

I especially love how the warm wood tones, creamy neutrals, and touches of caramel bring so much warmth to the green.

It’s relaxed. It’s sophisticated. It’s coastal without being predictable.

And most importantly, it’s a space that feels like an exhale at the end of a long day.

Change the space. Change the mood. 🤍

Remember this upstairs landing Owen and I wallpapered over the summer? Well, she’s finally ready for her close-up! 📸🧡

Who says an upstairs landing has to be just a place you pass through?!

What was once an overlooked, underused space is now a cozy little sitting area full of color, texture, and personality!

🌿 We started with this gorgeous botanical peel-and-stick wallpaper from Spoonflower, installed by yours truly and my favorite little helper, Owen! The beauty of removable wallpaper? If my client wants a different look five or six years from now, she has the flexibility to change things up!

🧡 Rich cognac swivel chairs, rust-colored throws, and touches of deep blue brought warmth, comfort, and a little unexpected contrast.

✨ Statement artwork, a beautiful wood cabinet, and thoughtfully layered accessories pulled the whole space together.

And can we talk about how beautifully all these colors play together?!

THIS is why I love what I do. Seeing possibilities in spaces that might otherwise be forgotten. Taking a chance on pattern, mixing colors and textures, and creating something that feels completely unique to the people who live there.

Because good design isn’t always about knocking down walls or spending a fortune. Sometimes it’s about looking at a space differently and having a little imagination!

Allow me to introduce myself! 🩷

I’m Michelle, the girl behind Mood Design Studio!

I’m a mama to two boys—ages 10 and 30—a dreamer, entrepreneur, treasure hunter, and creative soul whose brain apparently doesn’t come with an OFF switch,EVER! 😂

My love for creativity started long before Mood. From owning furniture stores to opening boutiques, and eventually creating Mood Design Studio, creativity has always been my common thread.

I love color, texture, wallpaper, vintage treasures, fabulous bargains, mixing old with new, trying new things and finding beauty in the unexpected. I also love ALL styles of design—coastal, traditional, modern, eclectic, bold, and understated!

But cookie-cutter? Not my thing! And I work best not being trapped in a box!🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️😭

I don’t have one signature style because I believe every home should be as unique as the people who live there. I don’t want your home to look like everyone else’s.

I want it to look and FEEL like YOU.

Because design isn’t just about beautiful furniture, fabulous wallpaper, or the perfect paint color.

It’s about creating a FEELING.

A place to breathe, make memories, feel inspired, and truly love being home.

Just recently, a client called to thank me. She told me I’d made her home her favorite place to be—that when she walks through the front door, she can finally EXHALE. 🥹

And THAT, my friends, is everything.

Creating spaces that make people happy is what makes ME happy.

Change the space. Change the MOOD. 🩷

Now tell me… what makes YOUR house feel like home? 🏡

From boring to HELLO! 🧡

Who says you need a complete kitchen renovation to make a statement?!

This home was built just five years ago, but even a newer kitchen can use a little personality!

We kept the beautiful existing wood cabinetry and countertops and gave this space a whole new MOOD!

🧡 Painted the island in a gorgeous, warm terracotta — Sherwin-Williams Roycroft Adobe.

✨ Added new pendant lighting and updated cabinet hardware.

💚 Brought in rich green velvet barstools for an unexpected pop of color and texture.

🎨 And my personal favorite? Transforming the dreary gray backsplash with a hand-painted, Tuscan-inspired German smear finish!

That last part was a labor of love with Owen and Erin, my two favorite creative helpers EVER! ❤️

A little staging, some thoughtful finishing touches, and suddenly this kitchen has warmth, character, and a personality all its own.

Not everything needs to be replaced. Sometimes it just needs to be reimagined.

And THAT is what I love most about design!

Literally dying over these photos! 😭🩷

When your best friend hands you the reins to completely redesign her bedroom and says, “Do your thing!”… THIS is what happens!

New paint, wallpaper, furniture, drapes, lighting, textures and all the little details that make a room feel special.

But my favorite part? We kept her grandmother’s wooden rocking chair. 🩷 Because sometimes the most beautiful pieces in a room aren’t new. They’re the ones with a story.

A little vintage, a little coastal, a little romantic and a whole lot of personality!

I couldn’t love how this space came together more. And seeing it captured so beautifully by a professional photographer makes my designer heart SO happy!

A little fall makeover for my backyard bestie! 🍂🎃

Last year we went all in with bright oranges and yellows, but this year I decided to switch things up!

Soft peaches, dusty blues, dried hydrangeas, fresh magnolia and lots of natural texture.

Do we still have a soft spot for last year’s bright colors? Maybe! 😂 But sometimes it’s fun to step outside the pumpkin patch and try something new!

And that happy yellow door makes everything look good! 💛

Change the space. Change the mood.
