We're excited to see this beautiful home nearing completion later this fall!

When our clients first approached us in the spring of 2025, they had a vision for their future home and a few ideas to get us started. Through thoughtful collaboration and creative design, we were able to develop a floor plan tailored to their family's lifestyle and needs.

One of our favorite features is the spacious, weather-protected outdoor patio, designed to provide a comfortable place to relax and entertain while staying sheltered from the wind & rain.

We can't wait to see this home come to life and hear just how much time the family spends enjoying that patio next year!

Option B Archives! For this weeks post, we chose to share some design concepts from the 610 Main Street building in Beautiful Downtown Lewiston that didn't quite make the cut. These images were created 6 1/2 years ago, on December 12, 2019. The existing building footprint is nearly 11,600 square feet in total, and when trying to fill the entire space with future retail spaces, the construction costs can skyrocket quickly. We brainstormed & floated some ideas to help alleviate those costs by reducing the height of the store separation walls, and eliminating storefront framing with security gates that could be collapsible during the day. This helped to make the interior feel very similar and open to the downtown department stores of the past. Truly, these images were considered to be Option A and very close to being constructed. But a global pandemic, rising material costs, and a shaky retail industry shelved the project inevitably.

The 'Option B Archives'....our past designs that didn't quite make the cut.

For this weeks post, we chose to share some design concepts that didn't quite cut it from the Southgate Plaza rehabilitation project in Lewiston, ID. These images were created over 11 years ago, on February 23, 2015. The existing strip mall complex that is spread out over 10 acres was in desperate need of a facelift and these images were some of the first design concepts ever discussed. One design challenge we faced was incorporating a new hip, or gable roof system onto an existing building structure (required on the facade facing Bryden Avenue per City of Lewiston Code). In the end, the design eventually become a hybrid of nearly all four concepts shown. Notice how each concept was very rustic in nature and included a lot of horizontal and shingle siding. This was soon replaced with a synthetic stucco cladding which provided a more durable and longer lasting finish. It's held up pretty well over the years!

Another wonderful single-family residence that just wrapped up construction at the beginning of this year. Couldn’t be happier for the owners and their family! This one took a lot of careful planning to fit everything into a 2,600 square foot boundary, but it all came together.

The video rendering includes two versions of our Enscape software capabilities. The bottom right rendering is our ‘white balance’ rendering to help our customers get a feel for the overall shape and form of the home. Once they’re comfortable with the size & sense of their home, we can then add their preferred textures & materials (paint colors, flooring, cabinet colors, etc.) to our models.

- 2,643 sq. ft. w/ 875 sq. ft. of covered front & rear porch areas
- 4 bed, 2.5 baths
- Includes office, walk-in-pantry & mud/laundry room
- Laundry adjacent to master closet
- Lots of natural light
- Rear covered porch protected from southwest winds

This was a fun, personal project that I've spent years tinkering with to get it just right (don't mind the stone wall still located in the fireplace...I guess I still need to tinker!). At two bedrooms and two baths, it's definitely not a large home. But a generous amount of natural light & plenty of outdoor space make up it's small stature.
