JOIN US SATURDAY for A Little Preview of What's to Come...

Sometimes the flowers have a plan of their own.

A handful of our mums decided they just couldn't wait for fall, so instead of wishing they had bloomed later, we're turning lemons into lemonade and inviting you to a special Flourish Farmette Farm Stand Preview!

This is a little sneak peek of the farm stand we've been dreaming about—a chance to meet you, share what we're growing and creating, and give you a taste of what's to come as Flourish Farmette continues to grow.

5640 Hickory Crest Rd., Lincoln, NE
This Saturday, July 25
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

We'll have:
- Early-blooming porch mums & planting mums
- Fresh-cut grab and go flower bouquets
- Fresh cucumbers & sweet cherry tomatoes
- Homemade soft pretzel bites
- Fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies
- Handmade bookmarks
- Dried herb products
- Possibly Farm-fresh eggs (subject to availability!)
- And maybe a special guest or two of the baby goat variety....!?! 🤫

We're especially excited to partner with our future neighbors at Grace Gate Farm for this fun morning!

Whether you're looking for flowers, a few fresh goodies, or simply want to stop by and say hello, we'd love to see you. Your support means the world as we work toward moving and opening our future farm stand. We're so grateful to have you along for the journey.

Bring a friend, enjoy a beautiful summer morning, and get a first look at what's blooming at Flourish Farmette. We can't wait to welcome you!

FINALLY a day that isn't 111 heat index so we can get these w**ds pulled! We have a lot of catching up at the farm to do between cleaning up the tarps and pulling w**ds, fixing irrigation lines (we have a family of 🐇 chewing them all up!!), and some iron spraying to keep them healthy and green! Pro tip: turn w**d pulling into a competition to keep the kids involved! 😉

This guy stopped asking questions years ago, I can just tell.

Someone js 40 today...🎉

Happy 40th birthday to the man who somehow keeps saying "yes" to all of my big dreams. I wonder if the little boy born in the '80s ever imagined that one day he'd be walking through rows of mums with his 4th baby in his arms, building a little hobby farm alongside his family. What a privilege it is to build this life together—to chase some big (and maybe sometimes crazy) dreams, embrace the simple, everyday moments, and watch our beautiful family grow. You love me and our kids so incredibly well, and there isn't anyone I'd rather have by my side through all of life's adventures. Cheers to 40 years of an incredible life so far—and to the many adventures that are still ahead. Happy birthday!! 🎉

Toasty, our favorite dog goat from Grace Gate Farm tried to hitch hike to the city when we're visiting this last week. 😂

I sure there's all sorts of treats stashed around our car floor, so I don't blame him for not wanting to get out 😆 We love 's dog goat and can't wait to be their neighbors soon! And Toasty - you're welcome anytime once we move! 😂

People often see the pretty flowers, the beautiful fields, the pretty photos, and the finished product. But they don't always see are the thousands of lessons for our children's happening behind the scenes.

Our farm isn't just a family business or a hobby project. It's a training ground. A subject we teach. A part of their education and childhood.

Our kids help connect irrigation lines, plant thousands of mums, move heavy bags of soil, clean up storm damage, troubleshoot problems, pull w**ds, and learn what it means to finish a job...even if it's hot, dirty, uncomfortable, or hard.

They've learned that things break. Mums not planted correctly dry up in a day. Calcium upsets the uptake of iron (and turns leaves yellow). Equipment doesn't always cooperate. Sometimes you have to adapt, problem-solve, and then try again.

In a world that often prioritizes convenience, comfort, and quick solutions, we're intentionally creating opportunities for responsibility, problem-solving, entrepreneurship, and real-life experience.

The goal isn't really to teach them how to grow flowers at all. It's pride in themselves when they fix a problem and confidence that follows after doing really hard things. Ultimately, the goal is resilience.

After a lot of prayer, planning, and dreaming… we are so excited to officially announce that our mum farm will be MOVING at the end of summer!

This next season will take us about 5-6 miles further east — to a beautiful 30+ acre farm that gives us the space to grow into everything we’ve hoped this little dream could become.

While we aren’t publicly sharing the address at this time to respect the privacy of the current owners, we can’t wait to welcome you to a property filled with rolling pastures, mature trees, orchards, wild plums, elderberries, peonies, lilacs, flowering shrubs, barns, stables, and the kind of timeless countryside beauty that instantly feels like home.

This move opens the door for so many exciting possibilities:
- Expanding the flower farm
- Growing even more mums, along with kale & other fall ornamentals
- Creating larger seasonal experiences
- Hosting workshops and gatherings (hello, wreath making events for Christmas!)
- Adding a bigger roadside stand
- And potentially future you-pick events down the road

As of now, we will likely continue growing mums this summer at our current farm location, while shopping, pickups, workshops, and future events will gradually transition to the new property over the fall months.

Our current location has been such a special chapter for our family and this business, and we are incredibly grateful for every person who has supported us here. But this new farm gives us room to build something even more beautiful for the future.

We truly feel like this property was meant to be part of our story (for MANY reasons that we will share as the transition approaches), and we cannot wait to bring you along as we begin this next adventure. 🐴🌻

The best is yet to come.
