🌲 A little morning hike through our old-growth forest with Jerry and Ella! 🐾

Some of these oaks and pines stand 80–100 feet tall and are over 100 years old!

Our own little piece of the Smokies. ❤️

Do you enjoy walking in the woods?

🍂 A pretty way to bring a little fall color into the hallway! 🎃

I love how a few pumpkins, some autumn leaves, and those warm fall colors can brighten up a space this time of year.

Do you decorate inside your home for fall, or do you keep your seasonal decorating outdoors? 🍁

🎂🐾 TODAY IS ELLA’S BIRTHDAY! 🐾🎂

Ella received a birthday card from her veterinarian, so I guess it’s official! ❤️

Since Ella is a rescue, I honestly couldn’t remember which day we had picked as her birthday. 😂 But today works just fine!

We may not know her exact birthday, but we know how lucky we are to have her as part of our family. She’s brought us plenty of love, laughter, and adventures here at Shaconage Homestead. 🐶❤️

Help us wish Ella a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🎉🎂

🐾 Nothing makes Ella happier than a woodland adventure! 🌿

A walk in the woods with Jerry, plenty of new smells to investigate, and a whole trail of exciting discoveries to sniff out! 😂🐶

What do you think she found this morning?

🐾 Dog owners, does your pup stop to investigate every single smell on a walk, or do they prefer to keep moving? Tell us about their sniffing style in the comments! ❤️

Well, look who decided to help themselves! 😂🐿️

I guess the bird feeder isn’t just for the birds anymore! These two little visitors seem perfectly happy with their discovery.

Do you feed the birds, the squirrels, or apparently BOTH at your house? 🤣🐿️

🌶️ From Our Garden to a Bottle! 🌶️

Jerry’s been busy turning our homegrown peppers into homemade hot sauce right here at Shaconage Homestead! 🏡

With cayenne or ghost peppers and a fruity twist from mango, this homemade sauce brings the heat! 🔥

🌶️ Have you ever made your own
Tabasco sauce?

I honestly never knew Tabasco sauce was made from Tabasco peppers! ®

We were given a whole lot of these little red peppers to turn into homemade sauce. And this isn't even all of them.

Looks like we've got some work ahead of us!

Tell me, have you ever made hot pepper sauce from scratch? 🌶️
