vibin with my “new” snake plant in its new spot ✨

i’ve had this snake plant for years in my laundry area that happens to have the best window in the house, south west facing.

it was still in its original mix and popping out of the pot so i steward of upsizing the whole thing, i decided to split the snake plant into two; and love the slimmer one into my bathroom and love the way it looks.

i did add a grow light to this snake plant bc even though im sure it would survive in there without one for a while, i do want it to keep thriving.

have you split your snake plants to add more in more spaces?

my tried and true method for sprouting alocasia corms with nearly 100% success is this:
🌱peel the corms
🌱stratum as the substrate
🌱closed container
🌱lots of light + warmth

most of them sprout within 2 weeks!

commonly asked/answered questions:
- i use regular tap water without nutrients
-i don’t use a rooting hormone
- i don’t get mold in the closed container
- i rarely if ever open the container for air
