On the ground Elio cobblestones gently lead the way between the home’s outdoor spaces, bringing the surrounding landscape to the threshold. Their reclaimed aesthetic gives the pathways the settled appearance of having been laid long before the home itself. Elio’s cream colour variation and gentle accents of yellow and rust, create a softness and lightness against Canyonfell’s deeper tones.

Canyonfell Freeform walling clads the exterior half-walls, adding weight and permanence against the timber cladding and black steel window frames. Working with the natural irregularities of the stone, this rugged, organic walling evokes the character of traditional stone masonry. Grey, cream and deep brown tones bring out natural colour movement to the façade.

The walling continues inside, rising uninterrupted along the entry wall. The continuation of the same stone from exterior to interior reflects a distinctly Californian approach to design, one where the line between indoor and outdoor spaces is deliberately left unresolved.

Set within a grove of centuries-old oak trees in Los Angeles’ Fryman Canyon, Villa Duir pairs contemporary, clean-lined architecture with the raw, organic texture of natural stone. Canyonfell Freeform walling and Elio cobblestones give the home solidity, protection, and a connection to the surrounding landscape.

Last week, we celebrated the opening of our latest concept – The Eco Outdoor Material Gallery in Dallas, an intimate space for architects and designers to explore our natural stone and architectural surfaces up close.

The concept space celebrates nature’s best work, presenting our materials like an art gallery: within frames, as sculptural pieces, and displayed to reveal the colour, texture and format of each stone.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for a drink and the time spent with our very own hometown hero and Dallas BD Manager, Phil Harrison , our Head of Design Chloé Arsouze, and the rest of the Eco Outdoor team.

“We were looking to create a façade as a carved, solid form, something that felt substantial within the streetscape. Daly stone bricks allowed us to achieve that sense of weight and depth, while introducing a fine texture and subtle tonal variation across the elevation.”

Set above the sandstone foreshore that lines Sydney Harbour, Vaucluse House was built on the premise that architecture and landscape should read as one continuous material. Travertine wraps the facade, unfolds across the interior floors, and resolves on a terrace poised above the water. The choice of material was inspired by the client’s love of Rome, a city built from travertine, and by the material’s resilience against the salt air and sea.

“Scala felt like a refined complement to the natural sandstone found along the harbour. The vein-cut finish gives the stone a contemporary character while retaining the longevity and authenticity that only natural travertine can provide. We were also drawn to its large format, which creates calm, uninterrupted surfaces and reinforces the sense of simplicity throughout the project.” – Diego Balagna

Glass is a miraculous thing. It divides without separating and emboldens natural light. Our Mano glass blocks are cast by hand from up to 50% recycled glass, meaning each block is unique, with bubbles and imperfections that reveal themselves with the day’s changing light.

Sprawling across five acres, Charlotte Park has been transformed into a timeless family home, crafted to be enjoyed now and for generations to come. The design is contemporary, while still honouring the property’s historical roots and rural context. Architect Michael Kilkeary of Cadence & Co selected tactile finishes, rich textures, and robust materials – including our Wamberal Freeform and Luca crazy paving – to create a sense of permanence.
