Another transformation complete! This one was a challenge but thankfully we love challenges. We started by removing the existing builder grade tan stone veneer as well as the ventless gas fireplace. Then we framed out and installed a larger direct vent fireplace with piping. This unit was a Heat N Glo unit dressed up with every option. We installed a custom made solid granite hearth and then finished it off with some graphite grey dry stack stone veneer. Turned out quite nice! Call us for your all of your home fireplace needs. This was an awesome project to bring all together. We started with an old traditional brick and mortar wood burning fireplace and modernized it. We removed the existing brick hearth and brought it flush with the wood flooring. Then we built out a full framing structure to enclose the new electric fireplace. After that we sealed off the chimney and insulated everything to get rid of the cold drafty chimney. We then installed 24" x 24" large format tile followed with a new modem electric fireplace. We love it and more importantly the client loved it. If you're looking for something new and modern or aged and classy then call today and get on the books! (513)900-0891.

This is a great demonstration of the importance of having your chimney swept annually thanks to Chimney Safety Institute of America. The video shows the beginning of a chimney fire occurring in a wood burning chimney flue. The smoke you see coming out of the top is also hot gasses that are burned off during the combustion process. A few minutes later there were flames shooting out of the top of the flue from the gasses igniting. Call us today and make sure your fireplace is safe from excessive creosote build up like this. Here we have a demonstration at the Chimney Safety Institute of America of a thermal shock situation that can happen regardless of having a creosote build up in your wood burning chimney flue. In this demonstration they showed how burning an amount of newspaper inside of your fireplace can severely damage your chimney because it is not designed to contain combustion for anything other than wood. This is a prime example of the importance of routine annual maintenence and inspections on your fireplace. Call us today and make sure your home is safe for you and your family to enjoy this year. DON'T WAIT TO THE FALL! (513) 900-0891.
