Our hardscape team has been on site for just over a week building a three-tier retaining wall across this slope. The design combines large Eden outcropping stone with 9" Luna block, and each terrace will be finished with mulch and plantings. It's definitely not the easiest retaining wall we've built, but it's coming along well

We've been busy! 🏗️

This two-tier retaining wall in Oakdale was built to solve a real problem: a slope right next to the house. We used large Sterling blocks, and the curved design keeps the wall solid and looks clean along the front of the home. Fresh mulch and new plantings finish the bed and tie it into the landscape.

Retaining walls do more than look good. They manage grade, hold soil in place, and turn a problem slope into usable space.

100-foot wall completed. We just got this one finished up here in 2 days. We removed the old wall and installed this new Sierra-tone wood retaining wall.

Wood walls are a good option if they're built correctly like this with tiebacks, and it's a little bit cheaper alternative to just using block. The tiebacks anchor the wall back into the hillside so it can hold up against the soil pressure. This thing isn't going anywhere.

From design straight into the front yard

🌿 The homeowner brought us their vision, and we brought it to life to match. We installed a new concrete sidewalk with a brick paver circle at the entry, pulled up all the brick on the front steps and regrouted and re-laid it, and finished it off with a brick-edged circle patio surrounded by fresh mulch beds and plantings.
