This past week and the weekend touched every emotion we had. It started with filling up the diesel truck to get home from our last event in San Angelo, $6.26 a gallon. What are y’all paying for fuel?
Then there was rain, tears of joy! When you only get 12-13” a year and that’s no guarantee you accept it with open arms. We were blessed to have spattering off and on the rest of the week. More tears of joy❣️
Drum roll …. Doctor’s appointment for Hank. Torn rotator cuffs. He called UNCLE after pressure from the doctor and I refused to let him leave without a steroid injection. He told doc that he wasn’t coming back cuz that shot hurt. LOL🥲!
Hank has several students on the rodeo team and in fall sports also. Time was spent prepping for the rodeo. Sul Ross is the home of the first college rodeo in the United Staes. As tradition has it, the rodeo team gathers the cattle and drives them up the hill around the presidents house to stage the cattle drive introducing the fall rodeo season. A little tear of proudness to be a part of the western lifestyle today.
A tragic accident occurred ending the life of a Tarleton State rodeo participant. Please keep Ali, her family, teammates and Tarleton State in your prayers. Very sad🥲. We choose to attend Saturday’s performance wearing purple ribbons remembering Ali. The barrel racers were fierce but my favorite event was Goat Tying. I was surprised to see how many young ladies participated in the events. What is your favorite rodeo event?
Sunday brought a surprise brunch after church. It’s always great to eat others cooking when you don’t have to cook. 😊 Reality hit once we got home, the garden was starring us down. We got after it, cleaned 4 beds, fertilized, planted cabbage, onions and lettuce. It’s always a great feeling working in the garden.
I pray it’s a better week for all of us. Life is unpredictable. Share your love with those that mean the world to you❣️Hank and I truly appreciate the support and love that you show with out little business, 2 Busy Bees. We’re finishing up in the garden today and will post our new preorder design tomorrow.
Somehow we’ve fallen out of Facebooks algorithm and our posts are not getting out there. If you’d be so kind as to like or love our post then share us on your FB page to give us the jumpstart we need to get us going around the world again. Love y’all 🐝🤠🐎🐎🦮❣️
