Kitchens, bathrooms, whole homes, and now, officially, commercial.

We’re now licensed commercial contractors, and we’ve started taking on boutique commercial renovations: restaurants, showrooms, studios, and more. These are renovations of existing spaces only. We don’t do ground-up builds.

The polish, the timelines and the obsessive attention to detail haven’t changed. The only difference is the kind of door you walk through.

What does “as necessary” mean?

If not used conservatively or applied to a single line item that you can understand, it’s a dangerous little phrase for you as a client.

We use it to cover some unknowns in demolition and other line items like paint and drywall repair where a stopping point is not easily defined ahead of time. If your entire project scope is labeled “as necessary” you should ask for specific clarification on what exactly is covered.

We’re hunting.. actually we’ve BEEN hunting.. and probably always will be.

Every business owner I know laments that it is very difficult to find good and skilled people. The younger generation, in general, is not attracted to trade work (many talking points to be made on this point lol). This industry as a whole is facing a looming issue of older tradesman aging out with no one riding the wave to replace them.

Regardless, we don’t just want someone with a heartbeat and a tool bag.

A good attitude and strong work ethic are the primary qualifications before anything else. We want someone who has passion for what they do and believes that the trades are a solid path to provide for themselves and their families. We intend to hold up our end of the bargain and make that path real and consistent with room for you to grow.

Someone with A+ skills in at least one trade and adaptability to learn other trades is an ace in the hole for us.

We’d hate to cause a leak if preventable.

These style valves are prone to leak if they have been unused for long stretches of time and then used to shut off the home’s water.

We skip this valve and go straight to the street when we can. Of course if you have a local shutoff for the room we’re working on that’s even better! We install local shutoffs everywhere practical to make future servicing easier.
