A hedgerow can do quite a bit of work around a homestead. It can slow the wind, create privacy, feed birds and pollinators, and even provide fruit for your kitchen. The trick is choosing plants that suit your site and repeating them enough to make a cohesive planting.
Our guide, “A Homestead Hedgerow That Does More Than Mark a Boundary,” looks at how to plan one, choose a few reliable shrubs and trees, and use different heights to build a useful border. We’ll share the full article once it’s published, and our spring bare-root selection is already available for planning.
