All of our Blueberries are 2-3 yr old plants in 1-Liter Pots already. They are sheared to 12-16" tall to allow for more rapid growth the first few years.

Most berry varieties grow in well-drained soil (not wet clay). Planting and care instructions will be provided at pickup or shipping time.

All Blueberries require a soil PH between 4.5 and 4.8 to grow and produce berries.

🌲 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐚𝐦 𝐅𝐢𝐫 (Abies balsamea)

The Balsam Fir is an extremely popular choice for both personal and commercial Christmas tree production. This conifer has shiny soft green needles and shears very nicely. The Balsam Fir is a favorite for wreath makers, who love to use the fragrant green boughs in their work. This evergreen exhibits short needles which are 1/2 - 1" in length and cones which measure 2-4" in length. Pyramidal in shape, this symmetrical fir tree is quite ornamental. The Balsam Fir is also quite shade tolerant.

Like the Fraser and Fralsam Firs - the Balsam Fir is a premium XMAS tree. The deer lightly browse on mine - areas with high deer populations will have larger issues I'm sure. The Balsam Fir is also slightly more tolerant of heavier & wetter soils than the Frasers.

🌲 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐞 (Picea pungens)

Grows close to 100 feet. They prefer moist, well-drained soil, but are very adaptable to a variety of conditions. This tree requires a fairly large space for growing. Its attractive color, form, and tolerance to a variety of conditions make it a popular choice. Important Note: All Blue Spruce exhibit different levels of “blueness”. If you are very particular about the particular shade or tone of blue you should consider your local nursery vs. any bare root nursery (obvious at a much higher price point also).

We carry 4 or 5 year old transplants. Get a jump start on your plantings with these older & larger transplants.

If you have heavier soil (clay) or the area you intend to plant is a little wetter, consider the White Spruce as a possible alternative. They do better in those conditions than the Colorado Blue Spruce.

The Fraser Fir is the Cadillac of Christmas trees, grown for both personal and commercial production. The branches on the Fraser Fir turn slightly upward and the tree exhibits a dark blue-green color with a silvery underside. Strong, well-spaced branches make the Fraser Fir great for decorating with heavy ornaments. Grows best in moist but well drained, fertile soil which is very acidic and somewhat protected from drying winds.

If you are planting for XMAS trees these larger transplants will give you a head start. They will grow into a marketable Christmas tree in 5-8 years. More towards the lower end in good soil conditions. Towards the higher end in more challenging areas. The Fraser is a premium XMAS tree. They command higher prices in the tree lots than most other varieties.

We only carry productive, two-year-old Asparagus crowns (not seed). These crowns will allow for a much quicker establishment of an asparagus bed compared to seed. It is recommended to plant asparagus crowns in year one. Limited harvesting in year two. Then full harvesting from then on.

Most asparagus varieties grow in well drained soil (not wet clay). Planting and care instructions will be provided. Asparagus is a heavy feeder that needs fertilizing at least one each year. We will have packets of fertilizer available in Spring if desired.

These are LARGE Asparagus crowns. Not the smaller junkier ones you'll find at the big box stores (for more money). You'll see results almost immediately with these.

Showy, snow-white, flat-topped flowers are 3"-4 1/2" in diameter that bloom in mid to late May. Beginning in September, bright red fruits serve as food for birds and wildlife. Grows 8'-12' high with an equal spread. Prefers good, well-drained, moist soil and partial shade to full sun.

🌲 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐞 (Picea mariana)

Black spruce is a small, narrow evergreen tree with a spire-like crown. It has descending branches, with dark, bluish-green needles, and upturned ends. It is a superior choice for cold northern climates and tolerant of wet sites (much like the Tamaracks).

If you have a rather wet area that nothing else will grow, the Black Spruce is worth a try. That and the Tamarack's are two trees that tolerate the wettest areas. If the area isn't super wet, then the White Spruce can be an excellent choice as well.
