This one was tricky. A lovely elderly couple in the Evergreen district that have mobility issues and financial restrictions. We removed the original cast iron tub(with a sledgehammer) and the surrounding tile in the tub enclosure without removing the original flooring or the surrounding walls. We tied in new tiles to match the rest of the room. The final result is almost a curbless shower. Instead we installed a marble threshold to accommodate the glass door. She can now access the shower and use her shower seat. With the help of the new fixtures we installed they are thrilled. I even received a phone call (not text) from her at 8:30 in the evening to tell me how thrilled they were after their first new shower experience.
