🌙 Why is it called Halloween?

The name comes from “All Hallows Eve,” the evening before All Hallows’ Day (also known as All Saints’ Day). Over time, that wording evolved into the Halloween name we use now.

It’s such a familiar word today that it’s easy to forget it has a long history behind it.

Did you already know Halloween came from “All Hallows Eve,” or is that one new to you?
