When is it too late to spray w**ds in fall? Post-emergent herbicides work best when w**ds are actively growing and temperatures stay within the product label’s range.

Once growth slows hard or frost shuts things down, control gets less reliable. Always follow the label for temperature limits, turf safety, and application timing.

When can you spray w**ds after seeding? For many post-emergent herbicides, you need to wait until the new grass has been mowed a few times and is actively growing.

A common rule of thumb is 3-4 real mows, but the product label gets the final say. Don’t rush it and injure the grass you just worked to grow.
