Sometimes it’s fun to just take a walk and see what you find! Minnesota Tile and Stone

What a difference a door makes! ✨🚪✨

At Gardner Building & Remodeling, we're not just proud of the changes we make during a remodel—we're just as proud of how we protect what's already there. 👣

When it comes to safeguarding your existing flooring, the details matter. While carpet shield is a common go-to, it can sometimes pull out the color in the tips of your carpet fibers, which is why we use it very sparingly.

Instead, for high-traffic areas like stairs, we take a more specialized approach: using heavy-duty tarps combined with custom dowels to securely protect the carpet underneath without risking any damage to your fibers.

See what our stairs look like before prep versus fully protected and ready for work! ➡️

Illumination for every forecast ☀️

Whether it's soaking in the natural light through the windows or setting the mood with well-placed fixtures 💡, layering your lighting transforms a space from morning to night. Rain or shine, your home should always shine its brightest. 🌞

✔️ Make sure your remodeling team checks all the boxes. You deserve the best!

Before you call a remodeling contractor, you’ve probably already formed an opinion about them online.

Reviews, project photos, Google profiles, local reputation, website quality and even response time can tell you a lot prior to your first conversation.

Read six things worth checking when deciding who makes your shortlist in today's blog from NARI Industry Partner fuze32 at https://remodelingdoneright.nari.org/rdr-main-blog-feed/before-you-hire/.

You don't always have to start from scratch to get a stunning new look. For this bathroom, the perfect flooring was already in place.

We worked carefully to tie the existing tile in with a complete, modern renovation. The new shower and fixtures complement the tile floor so well, you’d think they were installed together—especially with that gorgeous pebble shower floor picking up all the same tones.

It's all about smart integration and respecting the home you already love.

Renovation spotlight! 🔦✨

Proof that you can be clumsy and sophisticated.

Let's talk about grab bars. We install them for aging-in-place, sure, but the reality is that the vast majority of our clients are putting them in right now regardless of age. Because let's be real—they're for anyone who threw out their back moving furniture last weekend, slipped on a stray bath mat, or tried to step out of a tub while holding a cup of coffee.

We make sure safety features look like intentional, high-end design elements, not medical supplies. Because your bathroom should look like a luxury retreat, even if you're just using it to recover your dignity after tripping over the dog.

It's time for a bathroom remodel reveal!

Out: a broken jetted tub (a common issue), outdated finishes, and an inaccessible shower.

In: river-rock flooring, a built-in niche, and an accessible walk-in shower that is ready for every stage of life. All while tying in previous design choices.

Not every project has to be flashy to make life genuinely better every single day.

We had a great time connecting with fellow remodeling professionals at last week's NARI MN new member orientation. Being part of a community that shares our commitment to trust, integrity, and high-standard craftsmanship means so much to us as we continue serving homeowners across the West Metro.

We had a great New Member Orientation yesterday! Huge thank you to our host, Kolbe Gallery Twin Cities and our newest members who could join us as well as some familiar faces!

August has officially arrived in Minnesota. ☀️

There’s a unique magic to this month—it's a beautiful bridge in our seasons. We are soaking up every single gorgeous, sun-soaked summer day, cherishing lazy evenings outside, and holding onto the warmth of right now.

At the same time, August naturally invites us to shift our gaze just a bit. It’s a time for quiet transitions, getting back into rhythms, and dreaming about what comes next for our homes and our families. As we spend these final weeks of summer making memories, we also start wondering: How can our living spaces better support our family's next chapter?

The sense of community we build around backyard grills and long evenings doesn't have to fade when the weather cools down. Whether it's a kitchen built for holiday gatherings, a finished lower level for cozy winter game nights, or a refreshed layout for the year ahead, we want our homes set up to keep creating that magic all year long. Late summer is the perfect time to start planting those seeds.

So go enjoy every second of this beautiful sunshine today. And whenever you're ready to sit down and talk about what's next for your space, we're right here. 🏡✨
