Bathroom redesign
With the completion of this bathroom, every room in this beautiful home has now been reDesigned by Creations by Caty.
This long, narrow bathroom presented some unique design challenges, so every selection was made with both function and visual balance in mind.
To enhance the appearance of width, 12x24 tile for the floor and shower end walls was installed in a straight-stack pattern — a design approach I have loved and used for years. It creates clean lines and helps the room feel more open.
The original vanity was too large for the space, so we reduced the size. That change allowed us to go with a darker color without making the room feel smaller. A custom mirror was created to coordinate with the vanity.
To bring personality into the shower, we selected 3x16 tile on the back shower wall, also installed in a straight-stack pattern. The tile coordinates with the cabinetry and adds a nice touch of color.
A custom bench, solid glass panel, and frameless swinging door make for easy entrance and exit while keeping the space feeling open and spacious.
We selected antique bronze fixtures to coordinate with the rest of the home, and quartz for the countertop.
By keeping the main tile, walls, and quartz monochromatic, the accent color becomes the focal point.
Simply stunning!
A special thank you to the outstanding team who helped bring this reDesign to life.
