A range hood isn’t just functional—it’s a focal point that can anchor the whole kitchen design. In our latest article on range hoods for the home in interior design, we break down how the right style, finish, and fabrication quality create a cohesive look that feels custom, not cookie-cutter. With Brooks Custom’s artisan approach and decades of built-experience, you’ll see how tailored dimensions and durable materials turn ventilation into design craftsmanship. If you care about authentic materials and statement detail that lasts, this one’s worth your attention.

Concrete doesn’t just change how a kitchen looks.
It changes how it feels.
Polished quartz can feel bright and perfect.
Concrete feels quieter, softer, more grounded.
The texture absorbs light differently, so the whole room feels calmer and more architectural.
That’s why designers use it when they want a space to feel warm, elevated, and lived in instead of overly polished.

Stop buying sealed kitchen countertops.

Most people think a hard seal protects better.

It blocks your workflow.

Edge grain wood countertops work with you.

Cooks have used this cut-and-chop surface for centuries.

Why?

Because the “oiled only” finish soaks into the wood.

No hard top layer.

You prep food right on the surface.

No barrier between you and your ingredients.

You do need to re-oil from time to time.

Oil keeps moisture balanced.

Oil helps prevent cracking and checking from dryness.

Ignore the care, and the wood dries out.

Follow the care, and the surface serves you for years.

Edge grain fits on perimeter counters.

It fits on islands.

It fits in almost every kitchen layout.

Brooks Custom has built countertops since 1977.

Almost 50 years in one craft.

Custom shop.

Your vision. Built to last.

Do you want a surface you look at?

Or a surface you use every day?

Choose the one built for work.

Pewter countertops have been used in bars and kitchens for centuries.
They stay naturally cool, making them perfect for oyster bars, seafood displays, and chilled foods.

Bartenders love pewter because it doesn’t glare under bar lighting like polished metals — just a soft, elegant glow.
