By pairing warm white oak 2” slats with a striking black marble surround, we gave this entertainment center some serious design attitude—then added custom built-ins tailored specifically for the client’s vinyl collection.

When investing in custom cabinetry, let your real life dictate the design:

• Skip the generic decor from places just to fill empty shelving.

• Build the composition around meaningful items you already own or curated with special pieces that mean something.

• Highlight the heirloom pieces—like Grandmama’s vase or a prized record collection.

Focus on scale, contrast, and true curation. Map out your layout based on your exact belongings before construction begins, or hire a designer to help you plan the details. That is when you’ll finally fall in love with a space that is entirely your own. 🙌🏻

A cramped, dysfunctional kitchen walked into the room… and a marsh-view entertainer’s dream walked out. 🍷

THIS is what happens when architecture, interior design, and a great team come together.

We reimagined the floor plan, opened up the space, and created a home where marsh views greet you the second you walk through the front door — and follow you from room to room. Because why should the views be reserved for just one space?!

Y’all, interior design is SO much more than picking pretty things. 🤌🏼 We get inside our clients’ heads, rethink how they LIVE, solve problems, and create detailed drawings and specifications so contractors and subcontractors can bring the vision to life.

The pretty finishes? That’s the icing on the cake. The real magic is in the process, problem-solving, and ex*****on.

Pretty is nice. Pretty AND functional? Now THAT’S good design. 👏👏👏

Nothing like researching house plans for our new homestead on a soggy Saturday, am I right? ☔️

We lived in this house for 15 years and went through a few different headboards, but THIS one was my favorite. Floor-to-ceiling upholstered panels made from VÄNT to create that luxury hotel feel with just the right amount of drama. Because why settle for a basic headboard when you can make a whole statement wall out of it? 🤌🏻

Black, white + wood tones are always a good idea. ALWAYS. 🤟🏻

Moody ceilings, rattan pendants, paneled walls, warm oak countertops, black appliances, and a modern black-and-white starburst floor. 😍

The irony? I’m an interior designer who lived with a NON-FUNCTIONAL utility sink in her own laundry room for 14 YEARS. As the saying goes, the shoemaker’s children have no shoes. 👟😉

Funny how I can spend my days making everyone else’s homes beautiful, while my own house gets the “we’ll get to it eventually” treatment. Between client projects, kids, and life in general, apparently my own laundry room had to wait 14 years for its glow-up.

And just when it finally got its moment… we packed up and left. LOL. Hoping the new homeowners love this space as much as I loved creating it!

Tell me I’m not the only one whose own house gets put on the back burner! Anyone?!? 🙋🏼‍♀️

I freaking LOVE Mondays.
The smell of potential in the air.
A do-over.
A fresh start.
A new beginning.
And honestly? That’s a little bit how I feel about a renovation.

Taking something worn, dated, or just a little blah… and giving it a fresh take.
Good bones.
Just needs a little something-something. 😉
This was the do-over of my boys’ bathroom.
Wood tones + graphic patterns mixed with classic black + white. A little masculine. A little playful. Classic enough to grow with them.

Sadly, we sold our house before my boys ever got to enjoy it… but I LOVED how this one turned out.

🤫 I’ve been gatekeeping this secret about paint…..

Picking up paint from two different stores? Please don’t. 😱

Most people aren’t aware that even if it’s the exact same color you can experience different wicking rates (even from same can), tint machine calibrations, paint bases, and batch variations which can leave you with mismatched touch-ups and that dreaded “halo” effect.

✨ Pro tip: Always have your paint mixed at the same store whenever possible. If you’re using multiple gallons, ask your painter to box the paint (mix all the gallons together) before painting for the most consistent finish.

These are the kinds of details of why an experienced designer doesn’t just select paint colors—we create detailed paint schedules, coordinate with subcontractors, and think through the details that help you execute your vision for a project.
