Did a 40 hour wallpaper removal job last week and I encountered the infamous cork wallpaper, it did not come off clean, but I was happy to get this stuff off at all!!! The cork instantly soaks up the water, making it difficult to remove in general, let alone remove without any wall damage, luckily my client was having another Contractor install almost the exact same wallpaper so extensive drywall repair wasn’t necessary.

Moldy Monday! Not so fun fact: I find mold behind my clients wallpaper in at least 50% of the rooms I work in, especially around windows and in bathrooms! I’m not a doctor, but there’s no way that’s good for anyone to be living around and breathing in on a daily basis. If you needed a sign to remove that old wallpaper, this is it!

I’ve been waiting a long time to make this post, I have exciting news! Now that it’s June 2026, I can officially say that I have 20 years of experience in both painting and wallpaper removal! That’s right, I started working for my parents painting and wallpapering business at age 15 in the summer of 2006, 20 summers ago!

There were times when I had other jobs when I was fresh out of high school and believe me, I tried to run as far away as I could from what is now my career, but no matter what else I tried, I always came back to this. Call it fate or destiny, either way, it feels like it was meant to be…

I’m pretty much fully booked for the month of June and as we head into my busy season, I expect to be booked out even further so cal or text me 765-748-0111 to schedule an estimate for all of your painting and wallpaper removal needs.

Happy Friday everyone!

Here’s a before and after of the most extensive drywall repair job I’ve ever done. The clients started to remove the wallpaper themselves, but decided to call me instead! I came in and discovered there were bits and pieces of an entire second layer of wallpaper under the first layer which had been primed over, making it extremely difficult to remove… I powered through but the walls were extremely damaged due to insufficient prep work before the installation of the original layer of paper.

It was very difficult, but after a combination of sanding, priming, drywall repair, more sanding, more priming and finally, PAINTING… I was able to get it to the point to where you can’t even tell there was ever wallpaper (or severely damaged drywall) there in the first place!

I’m now booked into early March so if anyone wants any work done this spring, the time to get on my schedule is now! Call or text me at 765-748-0111 to schedule an estimate today 😁
