Hey Everyone! We are closing the store a bit early this week!

On Thursday, Oct 22, we are closing a few hours early at 2:00 PM.

Then, as a Ball State Cardinal, we are going to join everyone in celebrating the 100th Homecoming Anniversary this Saturday. So, we will not be open!

We are open on Friday, the 23rd, and this is a great time to shop for some Game Day gear and shop 30% off our Fall Decor!

Thank you all so much for an amazing first month. We are so grateful for every single one of you! Go Cardinals! ❤️

It has been a whirlwind of a month, and I am having the time of my life getting Slavin Design House started! ❤️

Now that we are getting things into motion, I can't wait to share the big projects in the works. For now, I wanted to share one of my largest projects. This whole project was all about phases. Each phase brought more and more life into this building!

I have been so excited to open The House Collective. I am overwhelmed with gratitude at the amazing turnout for our grand opening and for everyone who came out to support this dream!

Seeing so many familiar faces, meeting new ones, and watching people experience the space for the first time made the day more special than I could have imagined. So much love, time, and thought has gone into creating The House Collective, and seeing it finally come to life has been incredibly rewarding.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shopped, shared our posts, encouraged us, and helped make this opening possible. This is only the beginning, and I cannot wait to see what’s ahead for The House Collective. Welcome to the Slavin Design House family. 🤍

Every space has a story, and so does Slavin Design House. 🤍

What started with a passion for creating beautiful, meaningful spaces has grown into years of dreaming, designing, problem-solving, and bringing clients’ visions to life.

And while the finished spaces may be beautiful, it’s the people, the process, and all the little moments along the way that make this work so much fun.

This is a little bit of my story, and a look at why I still love what I do. Now that Slavin Design House has started, I am more in love with designing than I have ever been.

I am so thankful for the people who have supported me in this process, from the clients to my family and friends; they have all kept me moving forward with my passion for interior design.

Here is a great reminder: everything has good bones, but you might have to really look hard for them.

This was one of my favorite projects from this past year, which was taking a home and literally turning it inside and out. There wasn't a square inch of this home that we didn't remodel and redesign.

What I loved so much about this project was that it was the perfect example of "Okay, we can work with that." We tore this house down to the studs and said, "We can work with that," and turned it into something so charming and comfortable!

Any project has good bones; it is just a matter of finding them! For the Shelbark project, there was a good foundation to start with, and with a lot of hard work, it became a lovely home with new life.

As always, there is more to come soon!

Introducing The House Collective by Slavin Design House, opening September 25, 2026!

This space is my flagship studio, but more excitingly, it's our retail storefront for home decor, gifts, and antiques.

The House Collective was always a part of the dream for me. I have always had a love for retail and finding vintage antiques. This was the perfect pairing for me as I work with clients on their projects.

From modern home decor to pieces of art to antiques to the best gifts for that special person. The House Collective is meant to be a storefront where anyone can find something they love.

To kick things off, we are hosting an invite-only soft launch on September 24th. Then the following day, we want to invite each and every one of you to celebrate our GRAND OPENING of The House Collective on September 25, 2026!

We hope to see you there! Stay tuned for an upcoming giveaway and more exciting updates!

My love for interior design, homes, building, and people started when I was a kid growing up with my dad on job sites. He would always show me how everything works, but he would also show me the small details on each project, and today that is still something I look for.

Whether it’s a small piece of trim or a specific k**b for the kitchen pantry, or that perfect piece of decor, the small things add another special layer to each project. That’s where I am passionate about in interior design. Adding each layer, no matter how small or large, to make your space the best fit for you.

Slavin Design House’s mission is to help people feel comfortable in their space while staying on budget. That will always be our goal, and something I will continue to work passionately for. More to come soon!

Huge shout-out to Ella Beitler for helping us make this video possible!
