Fall color is filling the greenhouses at Evans Plant Farm! 🌸🍂💚
There’s just something special about walking through rows and rows of pansies in every color—especially when our pollinator friends stop by for a visit! 🐝🦋
Behind every plant is a lot of planting, watering, growing, and hard work from our family and crew. And yes… sometimes the mums really ARE almost as big as we are! 😂
We’re proud to be family grown, locally grown, and Tennessee grown since 1981. Thank you for supporting our family farm and allowing us to keep growing beautiful plants for Middle Tennessee year after year. ❤️

🍂🌿 Happy Sunday from Evans Plant Farm! 🌿🍂
There’s something special about a quiet Sunday on the farm. The greenhouses are filling with the colors of fall, the plants are growing, and we’re reminded just how thankful we are for another season doing what we love. ❤️
For more than 40 years, our family has had the privilege of growing plants right here in Middle Tennessee. What started with a few greenhouses has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of—and we couldn’t do it without the customers, friends, and community who continue to support our family farm.
As we head into another busy week, we’re taking today to appreciate the blessings around us—family, faith, hard work, and a whole lot of plants. 🌱
From our family to yours, we hope you have a beautiful and restful Sunday!
🍁 Happy Sunday from all of us at Evans Plant Farm!

🌱 New Equipment on the Farm! 🌱
We are SO excited to show off one of the newest additions at Evans Plant Farm — our TTA Transplanter! 🙌
Thanks in part to cost-share funding through the Tennessee Agriculture Enterprise Grant, we were able to bring several new pieces of equipment onto the farm this year, and this transplanter was one of them.
And y’all… THIS MACHINE IS AMAZING!! 🤩🌱
Transplanting is one of the most labor-intensive parts of what we do, and this machine is going to help us increase efficiency, save countless hours of hand planting, and keep up as our operation continues to grow.
There’s something pretty incredible about watching it take tiny plugs and turn them into tray after tray of future plants. 🌿
We’re incredibly thankful for programs that help Tennessee agricultural businesses invest in equipment and technology that allow us to grow, improve, and plan for the future.
🎥 Check out our new TTA Transplanter in action!

🌱 Because apparently Morgan needed ONE MORE thing to learn… 😂🪴

This week, Morgan is diving into a brand-new plant adventure: tissue culture acclimation!
Tissue culture gives us the opportunity to bring in some pretty incredible, unique, and harder-to-find plants as tiny little plantlets. The tricky part? Getting those babies successfully acclimated from their sterile tissue culture environment to life in the greenhouse. 😬🌿
If Morgan can master this process, there could be some VERY cool plants making their way to Evans Plant Farm in the future! 👀😍 Think unique varieties, collector plants, and maybe a few things we haven't been able to offer before.
For now, the experiment has officially begun! 🧪🌱

We’ll know a lot more in about 4 weeks when we see how these little guys fare through the acclimation process.

Will Morgan master yet another plant skill?
Will the tiny plants cooperate?
Will this lead to another plant obsession she absolutely did not need? 😂
Stay tuned… we’ll find out! 🌿💚

One of our favorite native vines is the Passion Flower Vine! 💜
Not only does this Tennessee native produce some of the most unique flowers you'll ever see, but it also grows edible fruit called maypops! 🍈 The blooms are a favorite of bees and butterflies, making it a beautiful and beneficial addition to your landscape.
If you're looking for a hardy native plant that supports pollinators and gives you something fun to harvest, the Passion Flower Vine is a great choice. Stop by and grab yours while they last! 🌿
