We provide a professional voice for the entire building industry while focusing on the specific needs of our community. Benefits of Joining Teche Area Builders Association (TABA)
Networking Opportunities
TABA offers a wide array of yearlong networking opportunities including monthly membership meetings at local restaurants, annual crawfish boil, annual steak night, Christmas party, annual officer installation banquet, Gumbo Cook-Off competition, and networking events and training in Baton Rouge with Louisiana Home Builders Association (LHBA). Educational Opportunities
From Educational seminars and workshops to monthly meetings and programs, TABA offers its members many opportunities to stay current on issues crucial to the building industry. Legislative Affairs & Services
Legislation on the local, state, and national levels regarding the building industry is closely monitored. TABA works with LHBA and National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) as your watch dog and advocate. Advertising
Monthly paid advertising is available in the Sawdust Newsletter. Local, cost-effective, billboard advertising is available with Great Outdoor Advertising. Insurance Program
One of TABA’s most important benefits is the LHBA Self Insurers Fund insurance program. TABA offers several cost-effective insurance plans for workers’ compensation, property & casualty, builders’ risk, and other insurance needs. Many members have had savings in this area that have more than covered their association membership dues. Association Support
Standing alone, individuals are a voice in the dark. United through a strong association, much can be accomplished. Each member will benefit from becoming involved and doing business with other members. Supporting Your Industry
A strong trade organization is the key to success for any industry. After becoming a valued member of TABA, you are sharing your time, ideas, and suggestions – which in turn, supports our industry. Committee Involvement
TABA members have a voice in the association’s direction through committee participation. Getting involved in TABA committees is the key to membership success! (337) 365-0075
