This morning we had an incredible surprise at The Home Store! 🥰Pastor Buz brought these beautiful students from SVA to visit us for their community service day- they sang two songs- (wish I had videoed the first one - Seek Ye First - but I was frozen with chills as they sang and didn't think) The offered up a prayer over our business and our family🥹-they toured around the store then told their favorite item (s).... they brought us Donuts from Shenandoah Reserve😋 If you know me- it takes alot to make me speechless- they did! Beautiful in every way and our day has most definitely been made better by their visit. Hope everyone can experience and share some kindness today❣️

THIS man- Ralph Kokkonen moved from Colorado to New Market VA in 1978 and with years of flooring experience launched a new business on Congress Street - Ralph's Home Store Inc. This Finnish man was smart and funny and most of all his heart was huge- he helped a countless number of folks near and far and for years after he passed- people would stop by the store and tell of something amazing he did for them. Ralph passed away on this day (Sept. 30) 37 years ago...leaving directions on how Mark and I would operate his business. It's been a roller coaster of a ride- but we hope you are proud Ralph! You are missed so very much! ❤️
