Not every project is memorable because of the finished product.
Sometimes it’s the people behind it.
This project involved over 250 square feet of shiplap that needed conditioning, hole filling, sanding, priming, and a fine-finish spray application. While I was there, I also sprayed and finished 9 interior doors.
One thing I take a lot of pride in is preparation. Before the first coat of paint was sprayed, the home was completely protected using a containment system built with ZipWall barriers and professional masking techniques. This allowed me to keep paint fumes, dust, and overspray isolated from the rest of the house so the homeowners could comfortably stay in their home throughout the entire process.
The best finishes don’t happen because of paint alone. They happen because of the work nobody sees—careful prep, attention to detail, and respecting a client’s home as if it were my own.
What made this project especially enjoyable was the homeowners themselves. They were kind, trusting, easy to communicate with, and genuinely appreciative of the process. Just like a great meal starts with great ingredients, a great project starts with a great relationship between client and craftsman.
Four days later, the transformation was complete, the house stayed clean, and the finish came out exactly as envisioned.
