I don’t know how some contractors go to sleep at night.
Yesterday, we went out to provide an estimate for an elderly woman whose kitchen renovation was started and left unfinished since September 2025. She then hired another contractor to complete the work, only to be taken advantage of again.
When we arrived, you could tell the experience had taken a toll on her. She was guarded, frustrated, and understandably short in her responses. As we walked through the kitchen, took measurements, and explained our process, we made it clear that the disadvantage ended with us.
By the end of the estimate, her tone had completely changed. The conversation turned warm, there were jokes, and we left her reassured with a signed contract and peace of mind.
It honestly hurt to hear how much money she had already spent and the stress she had been put through. She told us she didn’t know who to trust anymore, but once we’re finished, she won’t even need proof of why she chose us.
The saying goes: “A poor man pays twice.” The cheapest bid often costs more than hiring the right contractor from the start.
