Every company that rings the bell here sees the room in its own colors.
Design Republic was the architect for the reimagined Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square. It is still home to the opening and closing bell, but it is now also a client experience center, an event venue and a working broadcast facility, across two floors.
The Client Experience Center hosts up to 400 guests. Studio B holds 150 for IPOs, interviews and live broadcasts, with panoramic views of Times Square. The Gallery is for networking and celebrations, and a 2,100-square-foot terrace sits above the square. Boardrooms, huddle spaces, green rooms, a café and bar, and Nasdaq’s CEO suite fill out the rest of the floor plan.
Most of the technology stays out of sight. Acoustic partitions drop from concealed ceiling pockets to divide the event space. Lighting shifts to match each company it hosts. It feels like a hotel lounge, even though it’s wired like a TV studio. Built for the day a company goes public, and for every day after.
