Opened in 1984 on Restaurant Row, Le Rivage French Restaurant in NYC has remained a family-run French institution on West 46th Street for more than four decades, carrying forward a tradition that began with the Denamiel family at Café du Soir on East 86th Street before they established Le Rivage on West 46th Street. Today, the restaurant remains rooted in traditional French cooking and hospitality, pairing the warmth of a French country bistro with the unmistakable energy of Manhattan’s Theatre District.
In a collaboration between Le Rivage and Être Studios are two artworks inspired by the work of legendary French-Italian poster artist Leonetto Cappiello. The collection centers around two things that have become distinctly Le Rivage: their traditional Absinthe program and signature Profiteroles. Together, the two pieces bring the spirit of old French advertising into a restaurant that has spent over 40 years keeping that same sense of France alive in New York.
