Curating my auctions as collections has always been a bit tear it all down while reliving the emotional rollercoaster of why I loved and chose these pieces for the gallery in the first place. Not everything fits perfectly at first, but by the time the first lot lands, it all feels considered. And I’m left marveling at what story the collection tells of where I’ve been and who I’m becoming as artist and curator.

My next auction goes live tomorrow, where you can see the creative puzzle pieces come together and perhaps find the one that fits your world.

Sometimes you travel to see someone else’s work and recognize something of your own. Seeing Matisse in the South of France this summer made me realize how much his colors, shapes, and coastal influence have quietly found their way into my paintings over the years.

I’ve long loved collecting prints of his work. This one, with its blues, coral, and ocean shapes, feels especially close to home.

I’ve always been drawn to people whose resumes require a little explanation, the unexpected chapters tend to be where it gets interesting.

One of the most rewarding things I’ve done is give my own mix of gifts room to develop, and discover how much they have to do with one another.
