Egress windows are an important part of keeping a home safe and meeting building code requirements, especially when it comes to emergency escape and rescue.

This project wasn’t just about building a deck—it was about making this home safer. We removed the old metal fire escape, which had become unsafe and difficult to use, especially for older adults or anyone who may have difficulty using stairs or ladders. We then converted a different window into a new door and built a deck to create a safer, more accessible emergency exit. Safety, functionality, and quality all in one project. 🏡💪

Another deck project is underway! 🔨

We passed inspection and are officially getting started. On this project, we’re turning an existing second-floor window into a new exterior door that will become the entrance to the new deck. Stay tuned to see this transformation from start to finish!
