Sometimes, as contractors, we get so wrapped up in the business that we let our own homes go without the attention they need. This is one we brought home. This roof was pitched in a way that was a mark of bad decision making. It wasn't flashed properly, and part of it clearly hadn't received any attention in decades so we tore it off, ripping many if the rafters off, reframed it pitched in a better direction and, redecked it and shingled it in OC Teak, rebuilding and sheathing a water damaged wall while we had it all apart. Another one for our Air BnB friends up in Penn Estates East Stroudsburg. We got a little fancier this time around with some great idea shating. If you're into winter sports and want to stay somewhere awesome these air BnB' have everything from saunas and jacuzzi tubs to arcades and game rooms.This one even has a little go cart track for the kids! Back with our Air BnB friends in the Poconos. Here we took and old deck and turned it into an water lovers relaxation zone. Equiped with a deck area seperate for the pool and jacuzzi area (we will update with pictures of the jacuzzi in. We had to drop it in later with an excavator) and an area off the house strictly for lounging. We did this so that alarms wouldnt have to be put on the doors and windows (required for attached decks that lead to pools and tubs).

Never has a project fought us the whole way like this deck did. Everything from bad weather and artisan wells to buried farm equipment and surprise septic lines we ran into every obstacle imaginable but P.C.F.I. made it work. Glad we could help our such a nice family. And in case anybody was wondering, the deck is level, the pool is not. Just one more in the list of things that tried to get in our way!

This one is special. Dont get me wrong, we put it all into every project we do but for this client we really went the extra mile. We hit some delays and bumps along the way. Finding a rotted wall behind your deck is never something a person wants but with PCFI Construction LLC on the job pur customers can count on it being taking care of. Now our client can relax in comfort with her new deck equiped with an under deck drainage system leading into a gutter and know that things were done right and she doesn't have to worry about this happening again. Another pool deck and another satisfied customer. These folks deserved this deck after what they went through to get it. A year ago they got ripped off for 6 six thousand dollars by a "contractor" who did nothing except have nowhere near enough lumber delivered and sent over some underage kid to pour footers that, as shown in the last two photos, aren't a quarter of the depth required in our part of Pennsyvania. This is a really nice family. Blue collar people like me that work hard for their money and deserve better than getting their money stolen. Where I dont normally say anything about others in my line of work, I feel like this one should be addressed. This is why people dont trust our industry. So, Remodels by Jake now operating under the name K&K Builders and Construction Services, why dont you try making some things right with the people you stole from before posting your advertisements all over the community pages of the people you stole from.
