After, during and before. Dead ash removals, invasive management and outdoor classroom creation all rolled into one tidy project at the Great Works School.

It was a bummer to watch all these ash die over the last couple years but it also gave the forest a chance to begin is regenerating process. It what was largely a monoculture of ash and red maple, there's now hickory, maple, dogwood, cherry, box elder, and oak all coming up.

It was a long winter but the snow is melting, spring is on the way and there's trees to be climbed.

Controlled speedline fest removing two large pines overhanging a camp and dock. Very limited equipment access due to steep hills, lots of retaining walls, septic systems, etc. Lots of speedlining.

Haven't posted much here this spring and summer. Basically, I've been working a full time second job doing work on the house. Many thanks to Josh Mahoney () for the work on the doors, windows, and sills! These photos are only partially representative. The full list:

- Regraded the front yard so it drains away from the house;
- Installed drainage under the garage so it, you know, drains;
- Retaped, mudded, and painted the apartment above the garage;
- Excavated under the house to make access for work on the front sill;
- Helped Josh with repairing the front door, windows and sills;
- Resided the front of the house and connector;
- Built a new door, frame and casing for the connector;
- And milled all the wood for the door, trim and clapboards. NBD.

Plus ran a tree service. If you've read this far, I'm tired! Thanks to for bearing with me (and feeding me)!

This about sums up the summer this far, trying to stay cool. The dog knows what's up - just dig a hole under the truck.
