This 1930's Craftsmanship Remodeling Project - The Grand Reveal

You've seen where we started. Now it's time to see the finished transformation!

Our mission was to honor the timeless character of this beautiful 1930s home while bringing our customers' vision to life.

From the custom woodwork and built-ins to the windows, fireplace, and finishing touches, every detail was thoughtfully considered.

We are so incredibly grateful to our customers for trusting us with their home and to our talented team for the care and craftsmanship they brought to every detail🫶

🎥 Come walk through the finished project with us.

This 1930's Craftsmanship Remodeling Project - The Fireplace 🔥

Another labor of love to enhance the timeless character of this beautiful river front home.

The woodwork required continued precision. Each piece of natural slate was custom cut and arranged to create a one of a kind hearth. The granite cobble split face natural stone capture colors and textures. Finished with a forged hammered steel fireplace facing.

This deserves to be the centerpiece of the room!

This 1930's Remodeling Project - THE WINDOWS

These windows certainly gave us a run for our money! Window manufactures limit the wood species available. Our new windows were pine, while the custom trim was birch. These two species absorb stain VERY differently!

My stomach was in knots! We created samples, adjusted, experimented, and sampled some more. Getting that seamless color transition was no easy task. Close enough was not good enough! We think we hit this one out of the park 🤩

This 1930's Craftsmanship Remodeling Project begins with adding this beautiful seating & storage bench featuring wood paneling, classic architectural details, coat hooks, and a comfortable upholstered cushion (supplied by others). The integrated arm detail banked on each side really elevate the look for me!

Next, we added a custom storage cabinet that blends seamlessly with the surrounding wood work. It provides practical storage with electrical and adjustable shelving.

Secretly, these were some of the last details we installed. You just see them first as you walk in 😉

🏡 A BEAUTIFUL HOME. A NEW CHAPTER. A COMMITMENT TO CRAFTSMANSHIP.

Some remodeling projects are about creating something entirely new. Others are about honoring what has been there for generations.

This project was about doing both. ❤️

We were invited into a beautiful 1930s home filled with warmth, character, and original craftsmanship. Our mission wasn't to change what made this home special. It was to thoughtfully enhance it while preserving the timeless beauty that made our customers fall in love with it in the first place.

And that meant paying attention to every. single. detail.

From custom woodwork and new windows to architectural details designed to complement the home's history, every decision required thought, patience, and precision.

One of our greatest challenges? Bringing together different species of wood and creating a consistent stain color that would blend beautifully with the home's existing finishes. Anyone who works with natural wood knows that no two species accept stain quite the same way!

It took countless samples, adjustments, collaboration, and a very careful eye to get it right.

But that's what craftsmanship means to us.

Taking the time to do something right, even when doing it right takes more time.

Our customers had a vision, and it was important to us that the little details they dreamed of weren't overlooked along the way.

Over the next several posts, we're excited to take you behind the scenes of this transformation—from the challenges and creative solutions to the beautiful finished details.

🎥 First, come take a walk through this home BEFORE we began.

We can't wait to show you what came next!

Our First Colorful Beginnings Company Trip was a huge success ❣️We treated our guys & spouses to travel across the border to Rivera Maya Mexico with us last week. The sun was amazing, the pools were relaxing, cocktails poured with great conversations & laughter. Enjoyed spa services and private dinners on the beach. We are so grateful to have such a wonderful team ❤️🌴❤️

Hard to believe that Stephen & I purchased a membership 15 years ago to Grand Sirenis Rivera Maya. A membership were able to share with anyone looking to enjoy a vacation of their own. Rivera Maya is located just an hour south of Cancun. It’s our happy place! More details can be found at www.blissfulbeachgetaways.com

Another Full Kitchen Remodel Completed.
This kitchen was dark & divided with little room to move freely.
We removed a wall to allow the natural light to pour in through a new slider door, modified the layout creating a more functional space. This kitchen feels like it belongs in their home.

We have custom stain alder cabinets with a concrete finished quartz countertop showcased with so many of our favorite products. A Blanco sink with a low divide, Kohler’s faucet with sweep spray, full extension drawers and double trash pullouts. Light plays with this taupe tiled backsplash! And our frosted globe keeps the light soft for our client who has sensitivity from an injury.

We are so happy with how this turned out! Checkout these photos 🫶
