Sometimes, the biggest transformation comes from the finishing touches.
Before the fresh paint went on, our Good Life Construction team had already completed extensive repairs, including restoring damaged stucco, addressing moisture-damaged framing and sheathing, improving waterproofing around windows and doors, and repairing sections of the roofing and drainage system.

This before-and-after video focuses on the final exterior painting stage, showing the home after those major repairs but before the new paint, followed by the finished result.

With two homeowner-selected colors, careful surface preparation, and clean finishing details, the exterior now has a refreshed, consistent appearance.

T1-11 siding replacement, commercial roofing, and exterior waterproofing were the focus of this completed project in West Sacramento, helping restore and protect the building for years to come. 🔨

🔨 Project Type: T1-11 Siding Replacement & Flat Roof Reconstruction

This project involved much more than replacing the exterior siding. Our Good Life Construction team removed the existing T1-11 panels and installed new siding, weather-resistant barriers, flashing, and trim to help protect the building from moisture intrusion.

The work also included a new GAF TPO flat roofing system, roof sheathing replacement, additional insulation, fire-rated gypsum sheathing, localized dry rot framing repairs, and electrical improvements.

One important detail about the finished photos: the client chose not to include exterior painting in this project. The new siding and trim were installed, sealed, and primed as specified, with finish painting left outside the scope.

While the new exterior is what you see, the structural repairs, waterproofing, and roofing improvements underneath are what make this renovation important.

A successful exterior renovation isn't just about appearance—it's about protecting the building from the inside out.

Exterior painting, wood siding restoration, and weather protection have given this Auburn home a fresh new look while helping preserve its existing exterior. 🏡

Years of exposure to the elements had left the home's wood siding weathered, darkened, and in need of attention.

Rather than replacing the siding, our Good Life Construction team focused on restoring and protecting the existing wood through proper surface preparation and professional exterior painting.

The process included pressure washing, sealing around windows and trim, priming exposed wood, and applying Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint using spray application followed by back-rolling for consistent coverage.

The finished photos show a completely refreshed exterior, but the real value goes beyond appearance.

A quality paint job doesn't just improve curb appeal—it helps protect existing siding from the elements and extend its lifespan.

Trex deck construction, custom stair installation, and outdoor deck remodeling helped transform this Sacramento backyard into a more functional and inviting space! 🏡

For homeowner Julie, this project started with removing her existing deck and building a new 12' × 22' Trex composite deck. But the finished result became even more customized than she originally expected.

Our team installed new composite decking with hidden fasteners, custom stairs on both ends, matching fascia, and an enclosed deck perimeter with a removable access panel for the crawl space.

Our Good Life Construction crew is hard at work restoring stucco surfaces as part of a large-scale multifamily renovation project.

After sections of existing stucco were removed to access the stair landing repairs, our team began restoring the affected wall surfaces, carefully applying and smoothing the material to blend with the surrounding exterior.

Proper stucco application is about more than appearance. Surface preparation, consistent application, and attention to transitions all play an important role in creating a finish that performs well over time.
