**Stay With Me. Be Present. 🌿**

Sometimes fear pulls us into tomorrow, worrying about things that haven't happened yet. Other times, it pulls us backward into things we cannot change.

And somewhere along the way, we forget to live in the one place where life is actually happening.

Right now.

Recently, during a difficult moment, I took my worries to my beloved Mother Tree. And there, surrounded by nature, a simple question came to me:

*Do you need this solved right this minute?*

The answer was no.

That moment, along with a meaningful dream and the memory of my late husband, reminded me of something beautiful.

Sometimes the person we most need to stay with us is ourselves.

My newest Scheerwonder Living reflection is about presence, emotional safety, love, and learning to become a safe place within ourselves.

What if winning doesn’t actually feel like winning?

I recently pulled the Five of Swords, and one question from the card stayed with me:

**Was it worth it?**

It got me thinking about the subtle ways we can get pulled into “us vs. them”—the need to be right, to respond, to defend, to prove a point.

But when I pay attention to how that energy actually feels in my body, it doesn’t feel like peace.

So lately, I’ve been experimenting with something different: choosing what I engage with based not only on what I believe, but on what I want to cultivate in my life.

Not every difference needs to be resolved.
Not every conversation needs my participation.
And not every situation needs a winner.

Sometimes peace is worth more than winning. 🕊️

I wrote more about what the Five of Swords has been teaching me in my latest Scheerwonder Living post.

A reflection on the Five of Swords, the urge to be right, and what happens when we choose peace instead of conflict, debate, or the need to win.

There was a time in my life when people kept telling me to breathe.

My husband was dying. He had been in a coma for nearly two weeks and was on a ventilator—a machine was breathing for him.

So when people gently told me, “Just breathe,” I remember thinking how painfully ironic those words were.

Breathe? That was exactly his problem. He couldn’t.

It took me years to understand what those words might have been offering me.

Breath doesn’t make grief disappear. It doesn’t solve our problems or promise that everything will be okay. But sometimes it can bring us back to the one place we actually are—the present moment.

Recently, while reading *The Body Keeps the Score* and thinking more about the nervous system, I began looking at breath differently. Then, sitting beneath my Grandfather Tree one afternoon, something clicked.

Maybe those people weren’t telling me to breathe because breathing would make everything okay.

Maybe they were reminding me that **I was still here.**

I wrote about that realization in this week’s Scheerwonder Living:

✨ **A Lesson I Didn’t Understand Until Years Later**

One breath. One moment. One life.

For years, I thought housing was the foundation of a good life.

As a property manager, I believed that if people had a safe place to live, everything else could begin to fall into place.

And I still believe that.

A safe home matters.

But over time, I began to understand that there is another kind of home we need.

**One that we carry inside ourselves.**

Safety isn't only an external condition. It is also an internal experience.

And when we begin to feel safe enough within ourselves, something surprising can happen.

We become curious.

We notice beauty again.

We begin to wonder.

We make things. We explore. We laugh. We rest. We connect. We become interested in life again.

I've come to think of it as:

**Safety → Regulation → Curiosity → Wonder → Aliveness**

This is at the heart of Scheerwonder Living.

Not escaping reality.

**Experiencing it more fully.**

I wrote about what I've come to believe is the deeper foundation of a good life—and why feeling safe enough to *experience* life may be just as important as feeling safe enough to survive it.

✨ What if your home could make your life easier?

I started noticing how much tiny friction was built into my everyday routines—things I had to search for, move around, or dig through drawers to find.

So I started changing where things lived.

My tea lights moved to the living room. My creative supplies found a space of their own. I created a little cleaning station that is actually pleasant to use.

And something surprising happened.

My home started working *with* me instead of making me work around it.

That is the magic of reducing friction. ✨

A sacred home doesn't have to be perfect, expensive, or beautifully staged. It can simply be a space that supports the way you actually live.

In today's Scheerwonder Living post, I’m sharing what I learned about organizing for ease, creating supportive spaces, and making room for more creativity, rest, beauty, and everyday enchantment.

Sometimes a life can be very full without feeling very alive.

Work. Eat. Clean. Pay the bills. Scroll. Sleep. Repeat.

And then one day you realize you can't remember the last time you thought:

**I can't wait.**

I think we need those little moments of anticipation more than we realize.

A Saturday morning walk. A favorite dinner. A book you've been saving. A candle you only light on certain evenings. A warm evening on the balcony. A little project you've been wanting to try.

They don't have to be expensive or impressive.

They just have to give your future self something beautiful to anticipate.

That's what I mean by the **Art of Everyday Enchantment** — learning to make room for wonder inside the ordinary life we're already living.

Some days, nothing extraordinary happens.

And lately, I've been thinking about how beautiful that can be.

We spend so much of our lives waiting for the big moments—the vacation, the celebration, the exciting news, the next chapter.

But what if an ordinary day is actually something worth celebrating?

A day when everyone you love is okay.

The bills are paid.

The refrigerator has food in it.

The house is quiet.

The dog is sleeping nearby.

Nobody needs you to fix anything.

Nothing is on fire.

You can breathe.

That isn't boring.

That's peace.

And peace can be extraordinary when you've known what its absence feels like.

I wrote about this in my newest Scheerwonder Living article, "The Magic of an Ordinary Day."

Maybe today doesn't need to be exciting.

Maybe it just needs to be noticed. ✨

What if the magic was never missing?

What if we simply stopped noticing it?

I've been thinking about this a lot lately.

For years, I thought enchantment was something magical that happened *to* you. But I've come to believe that real enchantment isn't about escaping ordinary life.

It's about seeing ordinary life differently.

I've walked the same garden path for nearly ten years. And only recently did it become enchanted.

Not because the path changed.

**Because I did.**

I started naming the places I loved along the way — the Sacred Grove, Father Tree, Turtle Crossing, King of Pentacles Rock. The names didn't create the beauty.

**They revealed it.**

That realization has changed the way I experience my home, my garden, my walks, and all those little ordinary moments that are so easy to rush past.

This week's Scheerwonder Living post is about the art of noticing — and how we can make an ordinary life feel a little more magical simply by bringing our attention to it.

For more than ten years, I've walked the same path. It's nothing extraordinary by most people's standards. It's just a neighborhood trail with redwoods, oaks, birds, a small creek I lovingly call Peppermint Creek, and a quiet grove of trees that I've named the Sacred Grove. But over the years, tha
