Meet Tucker ✨
Tucker has been part of Dovetail Studio for a little over a month now as our Design Assistant, and we’ve loved having him on the team!
We figured the best way to introduce Tucker was to let him tell you a little about himself! From his design preferences to what inspires him, here’s a little peek into the newest member of the Dovetail crew.
01 / How would you describe your design style in three words?
“Collected, character-filled, and unexpected.”
02 / What’s one design trend you’re ready to retire?
“Gray-on-gray everything. I think we’ve played it safe long enough! Give me some color, a little pattern, and a room that actually has a personality!”
03 / What’s a design rule you love breaking?
“The idea that everything has to match. I love a little contrast, a little chaos, and something unexpected. That’s where the magic happens.”
04 / Antique treasure or brand-new splurge?
“Antique treasure, every time. There’s nothing better than finding a piece with a story, a little wear, and a whole lot of character. But I’ll never say no to a good splurge!”
05 / What’s your most controversial design opinion?
“A room doesn’t have to be neutral to be timeless. Give me color, pattern, and a little drama!”
06 / What’s something people would never guess about you?
“I’m a full-time college student studying business and integrated leadership, with big ambitions beyond design. I love the creative side of things, but I’m just as interested in the business behind building something great.”
07 / What’s been your favorite part of Dovetail so far?
“Getting to be around people who appreciate the details and understand that the best spaces are the ones that feel personal. I’ve loved getting to learn, contribute, and be part of the creative process!”
