5 Signs Mold Might Be Hiding in Your Home.

Mold doesn't always announce itself. Sometimes the clues are small, and easy to explain away. 👀

Here are 5 things worth a second look:

1️⃣ A musty smell that won't go away. That "wet basement" odor can show up before any mold is visible.
2️⃣ Water stains or discoloration. Check ceilings, walls, and around windows for spots or streaks.
3️⃣ Condensation on windows. Constant moisture on glass can point to high indoor humidity.
4️⃣ Peeling paint or warping. Bubbling walls, curling wallpaper, or warped baseboards can signal moisture behind the surface.
5️⃣ A past leak or flood. Even if it was "fixed," hidden dampness can linger in porous materials like drywall and carpet.

Quick tip: keeping indoor humidity between 30–50% makes it harder for mold to take hold. A simple hygrometer costs just a few dollars.
