For our final gala of the season, Hydrangea Galore had the privilege of bringing some exceptionally theme-appropriate flowers to Lymelight: An Evening of Art at the Florence Griswold Museum. Glowing Limelight hydrangeas and Limelight trees lined the breezeways of Miss Florence’s estate, while our colorful lacecap hydrangeas played alongside the lanterns overhead.
The evening felt true to Old Lyme’s artistic spirit: cuisine by Gourmet Galley Catering, Old Lyme artist Leif Nilsson and artist Lucretia Bingham with their stunning paintings, and a live sculpture by Chad Fisher offered at auction. Everywhere you looked, there was something to linger over.
We’re grateful to the Florence Griswold Museum and for having Mark Comstock and the Hydrangea Galore team to be part of a night celebrating the place where the Lyme Art Colony began.
