How often should you sharpen your kitchen knives? 💭🔪

The truth is, we get asked this all the time, and at the end of the day a sharp knife is a SAFE knife. It requires less pressure when cutting, allows for smoother cuts and prevents the knife from slipping.

So, how often should you actually sharpen your knives?

Story from Linda P. :

"I've had Cutco knives and accessories for 59 years and use my knives daily. My old ones fit in the trays (they didn't have the blocks back then!), but the newer styles don't. I have the original Cutco cook book, which took me through many years as a new cook. And I have the original set of utensils. Over the years, I have added a few pieces to my collection, most recently, the small cheese knife and the table knives.

My daughter liked them so much, she now has her own small set. My daughter-in-law purchased a basic set last year and says they're great.

We are a Cutco family!"

Honing is perhaps the most dramatic process in the Cutco factory. ✨ It's a highly skilled hands-on operation where straight-edge knives get their sharp edge. 🔪 While the knife is sharp after honing, it becomes super sharp when the burrs on the edge are removed in the next step in the process - high speed buffing. Spark on!
