Native to southern Madagascar, this spiny, sculptural plant is actually a type of succulent. Meet Euphorbia leucodendron 🌿 Native to Madagascar, this striking succulent – often called cat tail euphorbia – grows upright with narrow, green stems that form a tall, sculptural silhouette. In the wild, it can reach over 6 feet tall, and with the right care, it’ll thrive at home too.

Here’s what it loves:
☀️ Bright, direct light
🫗 Infrequent watering – let the soil dry completely
⚠️ A well-draining cactus or succulent mix

Like other euphorbias, it contains a white sap that can be irritating – so take care when pruning or repotting.

Big texture, lush fronds, and serious tropical energy 🌿

The Australian tree fern (Sphaeropteris cooperi) makes a striking statement indoors or out. Native to the warm, humid forests of eastern Australia, this fast-growing fern loves bright, indirect light and consistent moisture – think evenly damp soil and plenty of humidity.

Give it space to shine, and it’ll reward you with a canopy of finely divided fronds that can reach several feet long. Outdoors in summer or indoors year-round, it’s one of our favorite ways to bring the feel of the forest home.
